Netflix's hit program, Orange Is The New Black continues to keep fans waiting in anticipation for its upcoming sophomore season.

Actress Taylor Schilling, who dons the role of inmate Piper Schilling, was recently a guest on Canada's George Tonight.

While the 29-year-old touched on working with Ben Affleck in Argo and lip-locking with Zac Efron in The Lucky One, she also took the opportunity to dish on the wide array of characters portrayed in OITNB. "They're people. We're dealing with them as specific people. It's less about having a trans character and more about Sophia's specific story," she explained.

Schilling went on to delve deeper into the show's unorthodox cast, stating that viewers can relate to them. "There's something in these people that we may think we're separate from, and through the specificity of the stories ... seeing ourselves," she added.

In other OITNB news, cast member Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington) sat down with Screencrush on Oct. 28 to talk about where the cast and crew are is in the filming process, amongst other things. "We're right in the middle of the season. I don't remember exactly what episode, but everyone's hard at work right now. Everyone's so anxious to get the new scripts, because we're still figuring out as it goes along, as well," she said.

Netflix's Orange Is The New Black is set to make its return for season 2 at some point in 2014. The program is currently in production in New York. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on the popular series.
