Video footage recently surfaced connected to the murder trial of Simon Gittany, showing his fiancee's final moments before she plunged to her death in Sydney.

Gittany is being tried in the murder of his lover Lisa Harnum, a former ballerina who fell 15 stories to her death in July 2011.

Three new videos submitted to the NSW Supreme Court during the trial show Gittany's role in Harnum's death. He is seen dragging her across the floor of their apartment, with his hand over her mouth, as she struggles to escape him moments before her body was found dead outside the complex where they lived.

Even more disturbing is video footage showing Gittany in the seconds after the crime. He enters the apartment hallway and puts his hands on his head, before re-entering and then appearing in an apartment elevator. This video shows him alternately placing his hands on his head and throwing them in the air before running out and into the street where Harnum's body was later found.

According to the Sydney Morning-Herald, a ripped-up note in Harnum's pocket pointed detectives to surveillance cameras around the apartment, which led to Gittany's arrest for the alleged crime.

Gittany was accused of murdering Harnum by throwing her off of the balcony after he discovered her plans to leave him and return to her family in Canada. He pleaded not guilty to the crime, saying that Harnum stepped over the balcony onto a narrow awning and fell to her death as he tried to save her.
