Details are still emerging in the shooting at Los Angeles International Airport that killed one TSA Agent and injured two others Friday.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the suspect was killed by authorities and was a TSA agent himself, and no motive has been revealed as to why he opened fire.

Various witnesses have reported to media that they witnessed the suspect, a young white male, approaching Terminal 3 at the airport with a rifle. It is believed that the shooting occurred at the document checkpoint before security at the terminal.

Reports are conflicting on the number of people who died, though according to KNX 1070 radio, the shooter is still alive and has been taken into police custody. He is believed to have worked alone and that the rest of the airport is secure, and flights are still servicing the airport, but not on the air field serviced by Terminal 3.

Diversions are being made to other airports for flights that can no longer land at the airport, and officials from LAX are encouraging those who were supposed to fly out of the airport to be patient as there are significant delays expected on all flights out of the airport as the investigation continues.
