Fans of Netflix's hit drama, House of Cards, continue to wait it out for the storyline details on the popular program's sophomore season, which will be launching next year.

Actress Sakina Jaffrey, who dons the role of the President's Chief of Staff, Linda Vasquez, had spoken to Celebified about what HoC loyalists can expect in season 2.

"Surprisingly thrilling. I thought we'd have to keep the pace slow just because it's so mind-boggling what happened last year, but it's just as crazy," she said.

When queried on whether the cast and the crew "dive back in" after the first season's thrill ride, Jaffrey summed up her answer by stating how impressed she was with the returning episode.

"Oh my God. The first episode I said 'What? No way," stated the actress.

The 53-year-old further explained that the excitement surrounding the political masterpiece doesn't let up in pace the whole installment through.

"The thrill doesn't drop. They're all really really good this year," Jaffrey added.

In terms of her character, the actress said that Linda would be doing much of what she did the first time around: watching out for the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S.

"More of the same. More protecting the President. That's my main job. It's actually kind of a relief. I have one thing to do and one thing only. I just stand by my man," she added.

While no air date for House of Cards has yet to be determined, the show is projected to start its second season at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest news on the popular series.
