Netflix's hit series, Orange Is The New Black, continues to garner a plethora of attention for its upcoming sophomore season, which has still not gotten an official release date.

Actress Dascha Polanco, who dons the role of inmate Dayanara Diaz, is one of the characters that'll indeed be returning for the upcoming installment.

She recently took the opportunity to speak about what lies ahead for the popular program.

"There's a depth in the show, and instead of violence, it involves a lot of relationships that women may have in prison. More intimacy, more sexuality, more bonding, spending the moments while you are there. You have to develop these to keep on going and have a motivation," she said.

The actress also elaborated on her character, revealing attributes of her personality that'll undoubtedly impact Dayanara's development moving forward in the show.

"Dayanara is very naive in a sense, naive but yet she's a very calm, concentrated, very focused young lady. Her surroundings affect her personality per se, and kind of bring out things of her that you wouldn't expect," Polanco added.

Netflix's Orange Is The New Black is set to make its return for season 2 at some point in 2014. The program is currently in production in New York. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on the popular series.
