Jennifer Aniston shocked her fans when she stepped out on Monday with a new shorter haircut on Monday.

She was casually dressed for her outing wearing a blazer, T-shirt and jeans with sunglasses when she revealed the shoulder-length 'do with a side part.

Shortly before she showed off her new look, the We're The Millers actress shared the details of her new look with Vogue.

"Chris McMillan actually chopped all my hair off!" the Horrible Bosses actress told Vogue.com"It's right at my jaw line, maybe a little longer. It was kind of spur-of-the-moment. I was flipping through the television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris, and he said, 'That's [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it. He went way shorter than hers, but she was the inspiration."

McMillan is the hairstylist who created Aniston's iconic "Rachel" haircut in the '90s when she was a cast member on the series Friends. She revealed that he cut off six inches of her honey blonde tresses on Halloween and it wasn't for a movie role or for any future events.

"I actually don't have any red carpets coming up," she said. "This is truly just for me!"

A week later, Jennifer Lawrence revealed she too had cut off the blonde mane she is widely known for.

She shared a photo on Facebook on Wednesday of herself sitting on an airplane en route to a Hunger Games fan event.

UsWeekly reported that Lawrence's dramatic chop came courtesy of hair stylist Riawna Capri, who works at West Hollywood's Nine Zero One Salon. Capri provided the "short and drastic" cut a few weeks ago, according to a source. Another insider described it as "kind of a punk pixie cut that has a few longer pieces on one side but is shorter everywhere else."
