Miley Cyrus lit up a joint while giving her acceptance speech for winning the best music video, for Wrecking Ball, at the MTV EMAs on the night of Nov. 10.

The EMAs were selling Cyrus' performance as one of the show's main attractions, with the MTV promos asking audiences "How wild will Miley get at the EMAs?"

While Cyrus' performance didn't shock and stir audiences, and some even thought it was tamer than her controversial performance at the MTV VMAs, this time she chose to surprise by casually lighting up a joint on stage while giving her acceptance speech. Cyrus, who was scantily clad in a spandex suit and white faux fur jacket, thanked her fans and photographer Terry Richardson in her speech, said that she couldn't "fit the award in" her black Chanel bag. While taking out the joint and a lighter, she said "but I did find this." She went on to light it up and take drag on stage, as she exhaled the smoke, she wished everybody a good night and thanked the EMAs for having her.

Seems like Cyrus was enjoying the pot-friendly laws of Amsterdam but it is being suggested that the network might have to censor the bit out for US audiences.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter performed Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball at the awards earlier in the evening.

Before the awards ceremony Cyrus posted a selfie before stepping into the shower on Twitter.

"I got that shower time showerrrrrr time selfiiiie. (A la lana del ray) #happyemas," she wrote.
