The latest song from the Hunger Games: Catching Fire to be unveiled is Lorde's cover of the Tears for Fears hit, Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

The 17-year-old singer had recently been topping the charts beating the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus with her single Royals. Judging by the 90 seconds of the song that have been revealed, Lorde puts a very dark spin on the popular pop song, with heavy plodding sound samples forming the backdrop. The track picks up around the refrain and charges the chorus with some measured ferocity.

Curt Smith, the lead vocalist of Tears for Fears, spoke to MTV Hive about Lorde's interpretation of their 1985 single.

"I think it's absolutely amazing. But then I love her, I think she's brilliant," Smith said. "We love it when other people cover our stuff. Sometimes we steal them and use their version live."

He also suggested that Lorde seemed to have captured the real essence of the song as well as the song was actually "quite serious."

"The concept is quite serious - it's about. It's about everybody wanting power, about warfare and the misery it causes," he said.

Other tracks to have released from the soundtrack are The Gale Song by The Lumineers, Silhouettes by Monsters and Man, Mirror by Ellie Goulding, Lean by The National, Atlas by Coldplay, Elastic Heart by Sia and We Remain by Christina Aguilera.

The album will release on Nov. 19 and will also be available for download on iTunes.
