While the latest spoilers on the upcoming season of BBC's hit show, Sherlock, have been slim pickings as of late, to say the least, its very own composer apparently indicated just how its season 3 finale will ultimately turn out.

According to So Feminine, the series' composer, Michael Price recently put out the following statement in regards to the series 3 finale, which he stated will be a tearjerker.

"It's time. Sherlock ep3. More strings than ever before. More epicness. More tears."

Many fans continue to speculate over how long the show has legs to continue on for, more specifically, what lies ahead in the cards for Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Martin Freeman (Watson).

To what will surely come as a relief, co-creator Steven Moffat told Radio Times back in October that loyalists can rest assured that they shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

"Benedict, at some red carpet event somewhere, said he was carrying on forever. Martin, at another one, said, 'Yep, series four is happening,'" he said.

BBC's Sherlock will be making its return to television in the U.S. on Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time. While its U.K. release will be happening sooner, an official date has not yet been announced.
