The promos for the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Lady Gaga as host and musical guest were released on Nov. 12.

In the clip SNL cast member Kenan Thompson is seen with Gaga, who is dressed in an elegant black sequined dress, a short blond wig and a feathered crown.

Thompson tells Gaga about how he got all dressed up for her by flaunting his meat watch -- a band with some raw ham on it. As Gaga asks Thompson to be himself he starts to nibble on the meat, causing her to quickly retract her statement.

Thompson later takes a jab at Gaga by talking to a lamp adorned in a blond wig as its shade.

"Ah, Gaga, you look just like I remember you," he says.

Gaga, who is standing on his other side, calls his attention and tells him that the lamp is actually not her. Thompson carries on with the joke suggesting that he can't tell the difference, at which point Gaga comically stiffens up trying to assist in impressing upon the likeness between her and the lamp.

Referring to the lyrics of Gaga's hit song Applause, Thompson asks her is she lives for the applause. As Gaga attempts to get into the essential meaning of the song, Thompson cuts in and says, "You know who else lives for the applause? Tinker Bell."

Thompson also pokes fun at the New York native by asking her if "Lady Gaga" is her real name. In the last take the duo randomly suggest that they'd like to turn things upside down and the frame is inverted sideways as the two try to physcially fix it by running in a cyclical motion, causing the frame to go round and round to create a dizzying effect. The two of them eventually throw up and stink up the place.

Gaga's album, ARTPOP, released on Nov. 6. She hosts SNL and acts as the show's musical guest on Nov. 16.
