As Apple prepares for Black Friday 2013, Walmart is getting in on the action with deals on iPads, iPad minis and iPhones.

Starting at 6 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28), Walmart is providing a $100 gift card with the purchase of the 16GB iPad mini (Wi-Fi only), which is sold for $299. Essentially, this means that consumers only need to spend $199 for a new iPad mini.

Consumers can also buy an iPad case for only $15 on Thursday only.

At 8 a.m. on Black Friday (Nov. 29), Walmart will be issuing $75 gift cards with the purchase of any Apple iPhone 5C or 5S with two year contracts through AT&T or Verizon. The phones will still be sold as Walmart's regular price. Otterbox iPhone cases will also be made available for $25.

As for Walmart's online deals, the retail chain is offering $75 off the purchase of an iPad 2.

Many retailers are offering Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving, a development that has only occurred in the last few years.

"We saw even in the last two years, when stores were opening Thursday, they weren't necessarily kicking off their promotions on Thursday - the best deals wouldn't necessarily start at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.," online deal expert Brad Wilson told USA Today. "This really shifts the focus."

It is important that consumers take advantage of each Apple deal offered through Walmart as they will only be available for a limited time.
