Cameron Diaz tweeted Wednesday a sneek peak of her looking like a very sexy and trashy Miss Hannigan for the upcoming remark of Annie.

The 41-year-old, who is currently shooting the film in New York, captioned one shot"I want you to meet someone. Her name is Ms.Hannigan. She ain't nice and she ain't pretty." She is also featured in photos taken on set as she plays the cruel headmaster who runs the title character's orphanage.

In the images, Diaz wears denim cutoff shorts, a grey sweater and a considerable amount of bling. In one picture she is in character tugging at the hair of one of the children as she drags her into a building. In another image she looks angry as she throws something down a fire escape.

The remake is being produced by Will Smith and Jay Z, and stars Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks (Daddy Warbucks in the original) and Quvenzhané Wallis as Annie. A video of the actress rehearsing for the part, shown below, was released by Splash News.

Sandra Bullock was initially considered for Diaz's role, but she reportedly backed out.

Wallis is best known for playing the lead role of Hushpuppy in Beasts of the Southern Wild. The 10-year-old actor replaced Smith's daughter Willow, who was also being considered for the role when the project was in the early stages of development.

Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmine, The Big Knife) will be playing the role of a political adviser to Stacks and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as Nash, Stacks' driver.

The most recent addition to the cast of the film is David Zayas (Dexter, Oz), who will portray Lou, a local bodega owner who has a crush on Miss Hannigan.

Will Gluck (Friends with Benefits, Easy A) is directing the film, which was adapted from John Huston's screenplay by Oscar-winning screenwriter and actress Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna.
