The Eleventh Doctor has been reunited with his fez, and he's dragging the Tenth Doctor into his cool new obsession.

Children in Need, a BBC fundraising event, released a new clip from the upcoming Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, "The Day of the Doctor."

As the 75-minute story unfolds, something stirs from within the London Nation Gallery in the present day, a killer advances on his victim in Elizabethan England, and somewhere in space an old war draws to a close.

The clip, which comes just a day after Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor regenerated into John Hurt's Unnumbered Doctor in "The Night of the Doctor," shows the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) coming face-to-face with his Tenth incarnation (David Tennant).

When Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) of UNIT summons the Eleventh Doctor to the London National Gallery, the Time Lord, now donning a fez, starts to investigate several paintings whose inhabitants have mysteriously escaped. However, he is soon interrupted by the appearance of a portal.

Thinking back to his days as the Tenth Doctor, Eleven remembers that this is the time he meets himself in Elizabethan England. Sending the fez through first, Eleven lands in a different time to find his former self trying on his new favorite hat.

"The Day of the Doctor" will air worldwide on Nov. 23.
