Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have shut down divorce rumors themselves after months of speculation that they are ending their marriage.

The country singing duo set the record straight with PEOPLE magazine in an article published Sunday, November 17.

Hill said, "[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason. It's perplexing. I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story."

Hill and her husband of 17 years continued and joked about the rumors.

McGraw added that they've been facing speculation of an alleged split since the beginning of their marriage.

"We've been married 17 years, and since the first week we were married those things were out. We don't even think about it," He went on to say how the rumors effect their three daughters. "The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it, too, so they laugh it off."

While McGraw and Hill cleared up divorce rumors, they did reveal a big concern they do face in their household; their daughter, 16-year-old Gracie who is the oldest of the three girls and a junior in high school.

Hill confessed, "I don't recall in high school ever being so busy."

McGraw added that "it's not hard for [Gracie] to imagine" moving out of the house one day.

Hill and McGraw also made a red carpet appearance together at the 2013 CMA Awards on Wednesday Nov. 6. The couple was all smiles and Hill was even photographed fixing McGraw's tie. They also perform together every weekend in Las Vegas for their Soul2Soul concert series.
