Fans of the popular British-American drama, Downton Abbey, continue to wait it out for its highly anticipated season 4 Christmas episode, which will surely have its fair share of twists and turns.

Actor Allen Leech, who dons the role of Tom Branson, recently spoke to the Irish station RTE Ten on Nov. 16, and dished on what the program's loyalists can expect in the upcoming finale.

"Tom is definitely in the Downton Christmas special. It's going to be really exciting. There are some major, big, big, big set pieces. Julian Fellowes has gone all out with what he's written, There's a major centrepiece for one of the characters and a big event. Paul Giamatti also joins us which will be fun ... There is also the start of a couple of love interests for people," he said.

The last time that fans witnessed Branson, he fancied a teacher amid trying to regain a foothold once again in the world of politics. The fourth installment has featured the character trying to hold onto the person he was prior to having a child with the late Sybil.

Downton Abbey will be airing its finale episode on Sunday, Dec. 25 in the U.K. The TV series will be debuting its fourth season in the U.S. on Jan. 5, 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more details.
