Casey Affleck spoke about working with Christopher Nolan on Interstellar while promoting his upcoming release, Out of the Furnace, at an event on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Interstellar, which also stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, tells the story of a team of explorers who embark on a voyage through a newly discovered wormhole -- a shorcut through spacetime.

Although the 38-year-old actor admitted that he had spent only few weeks filming for Interstellar, he spoke to fans about his experience working with Nolan. Affleck suggested that while working with someone as accomplished, talented and smart as Nolan can be intimidating. The Dark Knight Rises director is one of the humblest men Affleck knows. The actor said Nolan never threw his success "in your face."

"He makes you feel like you are just as smart as he is, which is not true," he added.

Affleck seems to be surrounded by men related to the Batman franchise: Nolan, Christian Bale, who stars in Out of the Furnace and starred in the Dark Knight Rises, and Ben Affleck, his brother who is set to star in the next installment in the series.

Casey swiftly dodged any questions referencing Batman and his brother being cast in the upcoming film, Batman vs. Superman.

Out of the Furnace, which stars Bale, Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Zoe Saldana, Forest Whitaker, and Willem Dafoe, follows the story of Russell Blaze (Bale) and his younger brother Rodney Jr. (Affleck), who stay in the economically bleak Rust Belt in Pennsylvania. After Blaze is released from prison, he has to look out for his younger brother who has gotten involved with one of the most dangerous crime rings in the Northeast.
