Harry Styles is reportedly making an effort to get back together with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift by sending her flirty text messages.

After Styles and Swift broke up in January 2013 she penned the track We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, which she said was inspired by the United Kingdom native. The two singers have recently gotten on good terms and much of it has to do with Styles reaching out to his ex via text, a source allegedly told Hollywood Life.

Styles' recent messages to Swift have her slowly "falling back under his spell," the insider said, adding that the Little Things singer has been sending her "sexy texts" for months.

"Most of the time she just ignores him but she's lonely and she still has feelings for him so you can't really blame her for getting sucked back in. He's very persistent and very charming," the source continued. "His new song is totally about Taylor. He still wants her back. Will he be the good boyfriend that she wants? I doubt it but she's talking to him again so it does seem like she's falling back under his spell."

A different source reportedly told Gossip Cop there was no truth in the rumors, saying, "I think somebody's just trying to stir something gossipy up before the AMAs."

Previous reports stated that Swift asked Styles to help her find a house in his London neighborhood while she was in town for work. She was looking for a home in the area of Regent's Park, right near where the 1D singer lives.

"Harry has never really gotten over Taylor and thinks she is gorgeous," a source said. "He is going to spend some serious time with her in the run up to Christmas and New Year."

"She's definitely still in love with him and he's got a massive soft spot for her," a previous source said. "They'll see how it works at Christmas and make it official in the New Year."

The former couple spent New Year's Eve 2012 together in New York City, where they were videotaped kissing in Times Square as the ball dropped. They reunited on Aug. 25 at an afterparty for the 2013 Video Music Awards and posed for a photo together. Swift admitted in March that she wrote I Knew You Were Trouble about Styles when discussing her performance of the song at the BRIT Awards.  

She opened the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Nov. 13 wearing a dress adorned with the emblem of Styles' country.
