There is no word of a prenuptial agreement being signed by Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg before they tied the knot this Saturday. Priscilla Chan had largely been out of the spotlight while Zuckerberg rose to international fame, becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.  Chan had in fact been keeping herself very busy - studying for a medical degree at the prestigious UCSF med school. She has recently graduated, becoming "Dr Chan" and is proving she is successful in her own right.

Now the spotlight is all on the new Mrs Zuckerberg as both Priscilla and Mark updated their Facebook status to "married" overnight. Chan, a native of Massachusetts, met Zuckerberg while studying for a biology major in Harvard. She admitted that she first thought Zuckerberg was just a "nerdy guy".

The wedding, which was attended by fewer than 100 guests, was a surprise event for the guests, who thought they would be celebrating Chan's graduation. The guests ate dinner from the couple's favorite restaurants: Palo Alto Sol and Fuki Sushi. They were served Brudick Chocolate "mice" for dessert, which was what they ate on their first date together.

The wedding had actually been planned four or five months ahead by the newlyweds, according to their spokesperson. Zuckerberg personally designed the engagement ring himself with "a very simple ruby".

Chan has a reputation for being a very down-to-earth girl. She describes herself as "a simple creature" who "loves cooking and "soft things". She has no doubt influenced Zuckerberg to be the man that he is today. Her love for children inspired Zuckerberg to create a new tool on Facebook that allow users to become organ donors.
