While retailers stores prepare for their biggest shopping day of the year on Black Friday, Nov. 29, they are also bracing themselves for Monday Dec. 2, also known as Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday is as equally important a day for retailers, as it inspires the shoppers who prefer to avoid the massive crowds on Black Friday and every day afterwards the chance to save just as much, if not more. An IBM Digital Analytics Report from 2012 shows that Cyber Monday last year was the biggest spending day ever, with online sales increasing a whopping 30 percent over 2011 and 13 percent of customers using their mobile devices to make purchases. The report predicts that Cyber Monday this year will be even bigger, topping the $2 billion mark for the first time.

In preparation for the big day, several stores have been teasing potential deals and sales without giving too much away, including Best Buy, Walmart, JC Penney and Amazon.

Amazon hasn't revealed any specific deals yet, but is reminding visitors to their Cyber Monday page that there are several ways they can get exclusive deals on electronics, video games, DVDs and more. Those interested in taking part in these exclusive deals can follow the company on social media, install their Amazon mobile and Amazon 1Button Apps and sign up for daily e-mails about deals.

Best Buy also hasn't revealed any specific deals for their Cyber Monday event, but allude to deals and doorbusters on select laptops, desktops, all-in-one computers, HDTV's, Blu-Ray players, digital cameras, mobile phones and video games. The company also hints on its website that there will be once-a-year savings on major and small appliances, health and fitness gear, music and movies.

JC Penney has leaked an ad with specific deals on over 50,000 products starting Sunday Dec. 1. Shoppers will get free shipping when they spend more than $49, and special extra deals on apparel, accessories, shoes and home goods purchases. Those who spend $100 or more will get an extra 20-25 percent off their purchase, while those who spend $200 or more will get an additional 30 percent off.

Walmart will offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more and free pickup in-stores with the site-to-store option. Like Target, Monday will be the kick-off for an entire week of cyber events.
