The latest teaser for season 3 of Girls showed Hannah and Adam arguing about the meaning of friendship.

Actress Lena Dunham posted the mini teaser on Instagram on Thursday announcing that the first official preview for the show's new season will be released on Sunday.

"A teaser of our teaser for @girlshbo! Officially drops Sunday..." she wrote.

The clip starts with Adam telling Hannah she does not understand her friends and is not interested in anything they have to say.

"I am not interested in anything they have to say, that's not the point of friendship!" she yelled. The statement is followed by scenes featuring Hannah and her friends, with one in which she is seen kissing Jessa's (Jemima Kirke) on the head as she sleeps in a moving car.

In another conversation, seems to be with her therapist, Hannah says that she holds the keys to her prison, that is her mind. Viewers also get quick glimpses of Shosh (Zosia Mamet) and Marnie (Allison Williams) in this clip.

Season 3 of Girls will feature a bevy of guest stars: Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black), Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), Richard E Grant (Withnail and I), Michael Zegen (Boardwalk Empire), Jennifer Westfeldt (Friends with Kids), Sarah Steele (the To-Do List), and Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale).

Season 3 will premiere on HBO at 10 p.m. E.T on Jan. 12, 2014.

Judging by the ending of the last season and the teasers for the upcoming one, it seems like Hannah and Adam are back together but this might not be a smooth ride. The show has captured the volatility of their relationship in the past.

Both are not ideal partners when it comes to commitments, and both of them are pretty reckless -- rewind to Hannah's dalliance with Patrick Wilson and Adam's questionable behavior toward his girlfriend Natalia. Despite all their quirks or maybe because of them, the two are meant to be together. Fans wonder if they will be able to stick it out and make it as a couple in this next season.
