Victoria Beckham used her celebrity status for a good cause and emptied out many items from her closet to donate to the Typhoon Haiyan Aid.

The 39-year-old uploaded a Twitter photo where she shows a mountain of shoes she plans to give to help those affected by the massive typhoon, which hit the Philippines on Nov. 8.

"Big clear out of my shoes, on sale tomorrow in aid of @BritishRedCross #ShopDrop," she captioned the photo on Thursday.

She also included a link with information about the sale, which starts on Friday at the Kensington & Chelsea Red Cross shop in London, England.

Shoes aren't the only thing the fashion designer and her husband, David Beckham, are donating to the cause. In another photo, Ms. Beckham sat on top of a white box with more items inside.

"Proud to support @BritishRedCross #ShopDrop Donating clothes for #Haiyan survivors," she captioned the Facebook picture, which received many thanks from her fans.

Two weeks since Typhoon Haiyan, the death toll has reached more than 5,000 and those injured have surpassed 20,000. It has also displaced approximately 3 million people, CNN reported on Friday.

"But, of course, nobody imagined the magnitude that this super typhoon brought on us," President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III, told CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Nov. 12.

He also expressed his appreciation to those who have helped the country in this devastating time.

"There are, at last count, over 22 countries have either pledged to us, actually given us aid," he said.
