Ahead of Duck Dynasty's return in December for a special Christmas episode, the show's stars dressed in holiday-inspired costumes to participate in a stage production of the Nativity Scene.

The Robertson family, who has starred on the Monroe, La. based show for four seasons now, showed off the fun side of their religious background in a series of new photographs released before the holiday season.

The family patriarch Willie Robertson impersonates Joseph with a long, simple cloak wrapped around him, as his long beard and hair flow down past his shoulders. His wife Korie, dressed in a blue gown and floor-length head piece, portrays a pregnant Mary about to give birth to Jesus Christ.

Their 16-year-old daughter Sadie dressed up as well, sporting a white outfit and a halo as she represented an angel.

The rest of the family portraed other characters in the biblical story of how Christ was born. Uncle Si portrayed a wise man and though not a part of the stage production, Missy, Jase and Phil were also all on-hand to help celebrate with the festivities by reading to children and serving food.

The Robertson family's Christmas spirit may also be high because of the success of their Christmas album, Duck the Halls, which debuted at the end of October as the Number One Country Album on the Billboard charts.
