The Top 8 X Factor contestants were revealed on Thursday's episode, as Khaya Cohen and Tim Olstad were eliminated.

Cohen's elimination came early in the show. The 16-year-old was in the bottom two last week, which judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato deemed a "joke" during Wednesday's show. It seems some viewers still weren't fond of Cohen's performance of The Beatles hit Let It Be, although it received great comments from the judges.

"I feel okay. I mean it kinda sucks, but I'm just gonna keep going for what I was going for by doing this competition," the New Yorker said after she discovered she was eliminated. "It was a fun experience, so thank you."

At the end of the show, Olstad found out he was in the bottom two along with Carlito Olivero. The night before Olstad performed Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word while Olivero sang Rolling Stones' (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.

In their fight to remain on the competition show, Olivero performed Labrinth's Beneath Your Beautiful and Olstad took on Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up.

When it was time to vote, Kelly Rowland, Lovato and Paulina Rubio all voted to keep Olivero. Cowell's vote wasn't needed.

After the show, Olivero tweeted, "To my team! Thank u so much for all your support! None of what happened today was your fault! Next week is our week! I love u all so much!"

Although he was kicked off, Olstad also had positive words to say after the show and tweeted, "Just want to thank @TheXFactorUSA for giving me this awesome opportunity! I met so many amazing people during my journey!"
