The cover story of Empire magazine's latest issue revealed a new look for Transformers 4 character Optimus Prime.

The autobot is featured on the front page along with the film's stars Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz and Mark Wahlberg. The headline highlights the project's filming locations -- "Detroit! Hong Kong! Cybertron!" -- suggesting that the film will show us the Transformers' home planet. The cover image gives fans a glimpse at what Optimus Prime will look like as a robot.

A video from the film set in Hong Kong recently leaked online, alluding to the death of Optimus Prime.

Judging by the translation of the voice-over in the clip it seems like Optimus Prime is saying his farewells to Wahlberg (Cade) and the Autobots, asking them to take the mission forward without him:

"There remains a price on my head, and I risk endangering you if I stay. Cade when you find the remaining stones, mark one as my soul. Defend this family Autobots, as they have you, goodbye, don't forget me."

Reynor is the male lead of the film and will be playing a race car driver. Peltz plays Reynor's girlfriend in the film and Wahlberg will portray Flynn Vincent, Peltz's dad. Kelsey Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent who is the main antagonist in the film. 

Transformers: Age of Extinction comes out on June 2, 2014.
