While Hart of Dixie fans might have been excited to see Zoe and Wade reunite with a kiss in the 8th episode, it looks like Zoe's newfound cousin, Vivian, will become Wade's new leading lady and stick around a little longer than hoped.

One of the show runners, Leila Gerstein, confirmed the news and revealed, "We're in [episode 16] land right now and [Vivian] is still around. That is what the next episode, episode 9, is about as Zoe's in the middle as they're beginning," according to Zap2it.

So what about the kiss that had fans hoping the Zoe and Wade would work it out? Well, even though he was full of pain medication that helped him realize how he really felt about Zoe, his ex-wife, Tansy, stepped in and convinced Wade that it would be a good idea for him to get over Zoe once and for all. She might not have known that this conversation is what pushed him into the hands of Vivian.

Gerstein said, "That's setting him up for when he sees Vivian who is a real grown up, a mom, and mature. He's ready. He sees that as time to move on to that," according to the site.

Fans of the Zoe and Wade relationship might have even hoped that Vivian's 8-year-old son would get in the way of their growing relationship and scare Wade off. But it turns out, the young boy helps Wade grow up even more and gives the audience "another side of Wade."

While this might be a great thing for Wade and even Vivian, Gerstein confessed that "it's hard" for Zoe to see her long lost cousin and ex-boyfriend getting together.

Fans will get to see how this plays out when Hart of Dixie returns in early 2014 on The CW.
