While a brunt of the Beauty and The Beast season 2 chatter has revolved around the future relationship status of Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk), another pair that many fans are surely curious about is J.T. (Austin Basis) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello).

The JT and Tess relationship seemed to come out of nowhere, and it still remains unknown as to whether their spark will continue on or die out.

Executive producer Bran Kern recently dished to TV Guide on Nov. 26 on the twosome, raising an interesting conflict between the two: to risk their friendship in pursuit of a romantic future or go back to being friends?

"It's fun to bring those two characters together, yet it's a bit limiting to play another romance on the show ... I don't know how much legs we have for that. [One thing that we're addressing is that when] friends get together, are they supposed to stay together? Or stay friends? Sometimes you cross the line and it's a good thing, and sometimes it's like, 'Let's go back to where we were,'" he explained.
