Late actor James Gandolfini will now forever be remembered in his hometown of Park Ridge, N.J., which has dedicated a section of one of its streets in his honor.

The late Sopranos actor, who died in June while vacationing in Rome, was honored at a ceremony in Park Ridge over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Cast members from his hit HBO show were reportedly on-hand for event, along with hundreds of fans and town natives. 

Steve Schirripa, Vincent Curatola, Tony Sirico, Dominic Chianese, Vincent Pastore and John Ventimiglia were all present in the northern New Jersey town where Gandolfini grew up before he became most famous for his role as Tony Soprano. The actor never forgot his small townand returned often with his family, including his 14-year-old son Michael.

Gandolfini, who won three Emmys for his role on The Sopranos, later went on to several other projects after the show ended in 2007. He appeared in several movies, including The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, Where the Wild Things Are, Killing Them Softly, Zero Dark Thirty, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and Enough Said. His last film, Animal Rescue is slated for a 2014 release.

He was married to Marcy Gandolfini until 2002 and later married Deborah Lin in 2008, whom he had his second child with. Gandolfini was vacationing with Lin and his family in Rome, when he suddenly died from a heart attack.
