The Chew's birthday cake needs to hold a lot of candles as the daytime talk show turns 500 on Tuesday.

The ABC talk show for foodies and life style gurus will reach its landmark 500 th episode on Dec. 3 after being on the air since September 2011. To celebrate, the Chew Crew will take a glance back at their most memorable moments and savory recipes.

Consisting of Iron Chef elites Mario Batali and Michael Symone along with Top Chef's Carla Hall, the show also turns to less well-known chefs who also focus on healthy living as a whole, such as Daphne Oz (daughter of Dr. Oz) and Clinton Kelly, the program has used its multitude of personalities to carve out a unique market and thrive by means of diversity and reliability.

"We have five distinctly different characters, versus a single-host show," Hall explained, according to the Associated Press. "That means we have five different ways of doing things. So we are saying to the viewer, 'If YOU have a sixth way, that's OK, too.' We empower the viewers to have their own perspectives."

Meanwhile, the daytime program brings in popular celebs, chefs and actors alike, to dish on their favorite recipes and family crafts. This week The Chew will play host to Kristie Alley on Wednesday as the Crew talks childhood holiday delights and True Bloods Joe Manganiello on Thursday.

The Chew airs weekdays at 1 p.m. ET on ABC. Check out one of the series' many segments, C&C Food Factory, by clicking the video below
