The first promotional video for the 2014 Golden Globes, starring the ceremony's hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, was released on Friday, Dec. 6.

In the short teaser, Poehler sits at a piano and says, "Tina and I are back to host the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards."

Fey adds, "and just to get you excited, here's a preview of the opening song we wrote."

The pair then struggles to find the right pitch for a song while Poehler plays the piano.

Fey and Poehler signed on to return as hosts for the annual event for the next two years after they were efforts were well-received when they hosted the 2012 ceremony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

The 2012 Golden Globes attracted 19.7 million total viewers, a six-year high for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the company that produces the show, Dick Clark Productions. The show also generated a 6.4 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic, an increase of 28 percent from the previous year.

"Tina and Amy have a truly unique chemistry, making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all time," said Dick Clark Productions CEO Allen Shapiro. "We are thrilled to have them back in 2014 and 2015."

The Saturday Night Live alums continue to have major success with NBC. Poehler's hit NBC comedy, Parks and Recreation, is currently airing its sixth season. Fey is currently developing a new series for the network after appearing on 30 Rock for seven years.
