Peter Jackson has revealed production videos for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and a few clips featuring scenes from the film.

This behind-the-scenes production diary begins by showing some of the cast all done up and in costume playing table tennis. "I've been playing a lot of table tennis," Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo Baggins in the film, says.

The video captures all aspects of making the film, even showing the makeup artists and set designers at work as they build Smaug's treasure trove lair. The clip also features an exciting look at jackson directing the actors. While we can hear the dragon's voice, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Jackson is seen discussing the need to for something massive in the green room to get a physical sense of Smaug in the frame when he is pitted against Bilbo.

The clip features funny banter from the cast members as well. One moment shows Stephen Fry telling Orlando Bloom, "I saw you shaking that a**."

After shooting has  wrapped, Jackson's diary takes viewers into the animation room where all the post-production magic takes place.

Jackson will be revealing one last episode in the series before the film releases on Dec. 13.

New clips from the film allow fans to get a more comprehensive sense of the characters and their motivations. Four new scenes have been revealed, featuring interactions between various characters and discussions about the predicament they're in. The clips show interactions between Gandalf and Bilbo, Taurial and Legolas, Thorin and Bard the Bowman, and Thranduil and Bard.
