NBC's hit crime series, Law & Order: SVU, is set tol return to the small screen in January with an all-new episode, titled Psycho Therapist, which will feature the previously traumatized Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) confronting her recent kidnapping at the hands of Lewis (Pablo Schreiber).

The NBC network recently put out the following official synopsis for the upcoming installment:

"The trial of serial rapist William Lewis once again pits Benson against her attacker."

While Lewis will make his return to the program, it will reportedly be in a different sort of capacity than audiences have witnessed.

Olivia will get the chance to square off against the antagonist inside a courtroom while simultaneously trying to keep her emotions intact.

Given that the TV series usually leans toward doing "long-term story arcs," Carter Matt suspects that whatever unfolds between the likes of Benson and Lewis should bring the two's tension-filled storyline to "some sort of closure for at least a little while."
