Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham was abandoned by her boyfriend, who didn't show up to be with her and didn't bother returning her calls or texts on the first episode of VH1's Couples Therapy.

The season 4 premiere episode, which airs Jan. 2, highlighted Abraham's devastation as she realizes she has been estranged by her boyfriend and is utterly clueless as to why.

The 16 & Pregnant star walks into the house without a partner, which raises the question of her validity for being on the show. When the show's therapist, Dr. Jenn Berman, asked Abraham about what went down, the single mom had no concrete answer. She suggests that her boyfriend spoke with her the day before, telling her that he was taking his flight and would see her the next day at the Couples Therapy house where the cast members would live for the duration of the show. However, she never heard back from him.

In the premiere Abraham also talks about her infamous past, particularly the sex tape she made with James Deen and her line of sex toys.

"I was involved with somebody who worked in the porn industry, yes I made a sex tape but I am not a porn star," she said. "Yes, I ventured out, I got an offer by a manufacturer to do a sex toy line, that was lucrative and as a business person you take advantage of that time and you make products and you run a business, but me, I am not involved in porn, and if anybody is confused about that, I am sorry for you."

Abraham met her current boyfriend on her 22nd birthday earlier this year and said that the two have been together for about five months. She explained that they shared a strong connection and it seemed like they had known each other for a whole lifetime.

The couples on the show -- Taylor Armstrong (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and John Bluher, Jon Gosselin (Jon & Kate + Eight) and Liz Janetta, musician Ghostface Killah and Kelsey Nykole, and Whitney Mixter (The Real L Word) and Sada Bettencourt (The Real L Word) -- expressed curiosity and concern about Abraham's solo entry onto the reality series.

In a special therapy session, Abraham is asked to explain to her fellow housemates what's going on with her boyfriend so that they could get some clarity on the situation. The 22-year-old almost broke down while talking to them.

"I am like a little embarrassed by it and I am like a little sad," she said, fighting back the tears. "I was under the impression that I was coming with a boyfriend but he completely disappeared. I don't know where he is and why he doesn't care, I am in shock."

When the therapist asked the other participants what they thought of Abraham sticking around without a partner, everybody was on board and supportive.

Season 4 of Couples Therapy premieres Jan. 2 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.
