The last four episodes of American Horror Story: Coven will be action-packed as Fiona (Jessica Lange) and Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) team up.
As seen in the last episode of American Horror Story: Coven, Marie's entire tribe of voodoo witches were killed, forcing her to join forces with Fiona and put aside their differences. Marie will be living with the witches at the Academy for the remainder of the season, according to American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy.
"They have different ways and approaches about what they think they should do," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly, regarding Marie and Fiona's approaches to fighting the witch hunters. "Selfishly I just wanted to have a lot of scenes with Angela and Jessica together because they're so great together. So I was like, 'We gotta get Marie Laveau to move in that house.'"
The final four episodes of Coven will answer a lot of underlying questions, including which witch is the next Supreme, who Kyle (Evan Peters) is going to choose as his lover and what will become of the Marie-Fiona alliance.
"The next [episode] is called The Magical Charms of Stevie Nicks starring Stevie Nicks. The last four are 'Can Marie and Fiona beat these witch hunters that have been after their groups for centuries. Who's going to be the next Supreme? Who's Kyle going to choose in terms of the witches? What's going to happen to LaLaurie and what's going to happen to the friendship between Queenie and LaLaurie?' So those are the driving forces."
American Horror Story: Coven returns on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.
