Loreen from Sweden was the winner of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest held Sunday in Baku, Azerbaikan.

After the winning performance of her dance song "Euphoria" the 28-year-old singer thanked all the people who supported her. She stormed to victory with 372 points.

"I have so many things to say to all of you who believed in me. Thanks for your support, from all of my heart," Loreen said.

"I hope that Euphoria stays in the hearts of the people as long as possible", she added.

Russia's Buranovskiye Babushki came second and Serbia's Zeljko Joksimovic ended third with 259 and 214 points respectively after a hard battle in the scoreboard.

The final outcome was decided by a 50:50 split between professional juries and televoting from all 42 participants. The jury votes were decided during the Jury Final last night and the televotes decided during tonight's show.

The 57-year-old European competition is viewed by some 125 million people around the world.

The 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Sweden. The Final of the 58th edition will take place on Saturday May 18th, 2013, with the First Semi-Final on May 14th and the Second Semi-Final on May 16th.
