Khloe Kardashian officially filed for a divorce from Lamar Odom on Friday, according to reports.

After four years of marriage, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian's star cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the dissolution of her marriage with the NBA athlete, according to TMZ.

However, a prenup should make the proceedings fairly easy for the unhappy couple. The agreement kept Kardashian and Odon's properties separate, according to TMZ, and with not infidelity clause built in, there should be no drawn out battles.

Rumors of a split between the two celebs have been swirling for sometime, fueled by the 43-year-old basketball player's August DUI and allegations regarding cheating and further substance abuse, according to the New York Daily News. Despite the couples attempts at counseling, according to E!, the pair have apparently been unable to repair their relationship.

Although there has been no official announcement released by either party, an Instagram post made by the 29-year-old Kardashian on Thursday gives insight into her state of mind before the filing.

"I am strong because I've been weak. I am fearless because I've been afraid. I am wise because I've been foolish," the photo read.

TMZ states that Kardashian is also petitioning the judge for the removal of Odom from her name.
