Paul Williams the "Punisher" was paralyzed from the waist down after a motorcycle accident Sunday, his manager George Peterson told the media.

Williams, 30 was in good spirits despite the serious injury, according to Peterson. He was in serious but stable condition today.

"From the waist down, he has absolutely no movement. He's in very good spirits, though," Peterson told The Associated Press Monday.

Williams was reportedly driving in Marietta, Georgia around 7 a.m. Sunday when he got into the accident. He went about 65 feet in the air and fell on his back severing his spinal cord, Peterson told the New York Daily News.

“It’s the same old Paul,” Peterson told the Daily News. “As I was walking out of the door to talk to you, he said, ‘Believe me, if I don’t ever box again, I’m going to do some stand-up comedy.’ He’s not suffering.”

Williams is a former two-time WBO Welterweight Champion as well as interim WBO Light Middleweight Champion.

He has defeated world champions such as Winky Wright, Sergio Martínez, Kermit Cintron, Carlos Quintana and Antonio Margarito.
