'Walking Dead' Season 5 Cast:: Brand New Characters, Guest Stars To Be Attached & Spin-Off Series Discussed [SNEAK PEEK]

Although fans of the hit zombie series, "The Walking Dead," are currently focused on its return for the second half of season 4, news on its fifth installment has indeed surfaced.

Although fans of the hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, are currently focused on its return for the second half of season 4, news on its fifth installment has indeed surfaced.

Character Flashbacks To Give Audience A Deeper Look Into Pre-Zombie Lives?

IB Times reported on Dec. 16 that the AMC program will begin casting for brand new regular characters, recurring parts as well as guest stars for season 5. Filming for the future installment is set to begin at the beginning of 2014.

The TV series was officially renewed for a fifth season back in October. Walking Dead's continued success had also led to a spinoff show that's slated to kick off in 2015.

Creator Robert Kirkman had stated that the spinoff "isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page," unlike TWD.

More 'Personal Stuff' Of Characters Set To Be Revealed?

The Walking Dead is set to make its return to the small screen for episode 9, its mid-season premiere on Sunday, Feb.9 at 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time.
