Some of Hollywood's biggest stars weighed in recently on Batman and Superman, discussing which is their favorite and which one is better leading up to the Batman vs. Superman film in 2015.

TotalFilm asked many of today's most successful stars which superhero they prefer, Batman or Superman? The results wound up being very evenly matched.

Hugh Jackman picked Superman, noting that the Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve came out when he was nine years old, making him want to be Superman.

Michael Fassbender had a similar answer, saying that he wanted to be Superman after watching the 1980s Superman films. However, he added that Batman has been more interesting lately as a normal guy with psychological issues. Tom Hiddleston said he used the Superman films for guidance for his performance in Thor.

Jennifer Lawrence was quick to answer "Batman" when asked to choose between the two iconic superheroes.

"I've always been a Batman fan since I was a kid," she explained. "And I never really got into Superman. I haven't really seen them."

Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx agreed that Batman was "cooler" than Superman overall despite the latter's more interesting superpowers.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth took the question very seriously as Hutcherson noted that Superman is "unkillable," making him more likely to beat Batman. Regardless, the pair agreed that they like Batman as a character more.
