The Voice tallied America's votes and announced Tessanne Chin as the winner of season 5.

After weeks of competition and intense preparation, the three finalists for season 5 were Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee, and Will Champlin. Will Champlin came in third while Jacquie Lee landed second place.

Here's a look at The Voice's Top 3 competitors.

Tessanne Chin: Hailing from Jamaica, the 28-year-old Chin has carved out a solo career for herself back home but wants to break into the American scene. Despite coming from a reggae background, Chin has managed to perform a well-varied array of tunes during her stint on the NBC show. Chin's last performances consisted an encore performance of Try by Pink, a Beatle's Let It Be duet with Coach Adam Levine, and a solo performance of I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston.

Will Champlin: A graduate of the Boston's Berklee School of Music and father to a one-year-old daughter, Champlin comes form a musical family. With a singer/songwriter father, heading to The Voice seems a natural course for Champlin. A member of Team Adam, the young musicians's final Monday night performances consisted of Not Over You by Gavin DeGraw as his reprise performance, a Tiny Dancer duet with Levine, and a solo of Bryan Adams' (Everything I Do) I Do it For You.

Jacquie Lee: The youngest of the three finalists and the only remaining member of Team Christina Aguilera, 16-year-old Lee is following in the footsteps of season 4's Danielle Bradbery. The youngsters final Monday performances of Amy Winehouse's Back to Black, a duet with Aguilera of her mentor's own song, We Remain, and a solo of Jennifer Holliday's And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going.
