Samuel L. Jackson, Tobey Maguire and Arcade Fire brought some Christmas merriment with them as guests on Zach Galifianakis' Between Two Ferns holiday special.

Jackson and Maguire both seemed prepared for the treatment guests often receive on the show, as both actors were ready with their own vitriol-laced responses and non-answers to Galifiankis's quips.

Galifianakis picked on Maguire after the actor tried to give him tips on how to count down the cue to begin filming. He also took swipes at him by asking if when he visited a bar and ordered cider he yelled out, "this Cider house rules!", referencing Maguire's 1999 film of the same name.

"You Know me so well," Maguire deadpanned.

Galifianakis also asked him if he hung out with Emmanuel Lewis (Webster), while playing Spiderman.

Galifianakis also prodded Jackson about his work on Die Hard, and asked the two actors if super heroes were taking over Hollywood, to which Maguire responded that only the 'heroic actors' were taking on such roles.

The show was concluded by a special performance by Arcade Fire. The band lined up like a school choir and dressed in Christmas-y reds,  and launched into a different version of the classic Christmas carol, Little Drummer Boy.

Recently, Galifianakis also did a funny bit as Santa Claus. In the sketch, Santa Claus (Galifianakis) is interviewed about his work and  asked if him and his crew ventured out to other planets to distribute gifts. Galifinakis also shed some light on the fact that he knows everybody since the moment they were conceived, suggesting that Santa actually watches parents having sex.
