One Direction sent a special message to one injured fan.

A limited number of students at Colorado's Arapahoe High School were allowed back into the building for the first time on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to local reports, since the tragic shooting that take place on Friday, Dec. 13.

Claire Davis, a 17-year-old student, was critically wounded by fellow senior and 18-year-old gunman Karl Pierson, who killed himself in the library at the Colorado public school after injuring his classmate. The shooter was reportedly looking for revenge against a librarian, but could not find the faculty member.

Davis currently remains hospitalized in a coma.

An online campaign to get One Direction to visit the Colorado teen critically wounded led to a video message from the British boy band. Davis' friends, who said she is a big One Direction fan, began a Twitter campaign to get the group's attention using the hashtag #Get1DtoClaire.

When the 1D members -- Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan -- found out about her condition, the group recorded a video message to send her well wishes. While it was not intended to be shared online, her boyfriend uploaded the footage to YouTube, a source told CNN.

"Hi Clare we've heard you were a big fan and we just wanted to show you some love. What's happened to you is actually terrible and something we can't bear thinking about," Payne said in the clip as his bandmates stand beside him. "So we just wanted to share some love with you. All our prayers with you and your family. Hope you get well soon. Lots of love," he added, giving the camera a thumbs-up gesture.

Tomlinson then blew a kiss toward the camera.
