Amy Adams recently spoke out about Gal Gadot's casting in Man of Steel 2, voicing her confidence in the casting choice.

When Gadot was announced to be playing Wonder Woman in Man of Steel 2, there was some fan outrage due to the actress' smaller frame. Adams, who will be reprising her role as Lois Lane in Man of Steel 2, explained her own frame and how it did not effect her portrayal of the classic comic book character.

"I don't buy into that. Not that I [don't] believe that it's happening, but I'm certainly not a classically drawn woman as they exist in comic books, so I had to embrace that I just had a baby, I still hadn't gotten my waist back," Adams explained in a recent interview. "Lois is not about proportions, Lois is about her intellect and her savvy reporting skills and her empathy for Clark, and so I just didn't think about it."

Even if Gadot is "too skinny" for the role currently, Adams suggested that she was confident in director Zack Snyder's abilities to make her bigger and more similar to the muscular Wonder Woman depicted in the comic books.

"If she's working with Zack, and she's going to be Wonder Woman, she is going to be yoked, man. He is going to make her a beast," she assured.

Production on Man of Steel 2 begins in early 2014, which will likely be the time in which the first photos will be released of Gadot as Wonder Woman.
