Once Upon a Time will be going to the land of Oz when season 3 returns in March 2014.

The trailer for the next episode of Once Upon a Time teases the introduction of the Wicked Witch of the West (guest star Rebecca Mader), the infamous villain from The Wizard of Oz franchise. Emma and the gang will not only be introduced to the Wicked Witch, they will very likely be going to her world too, according to a new report by E! Online.

The report claims that the show is going to Oz, with the producers figuring out what can be used for the show, including material from the books, the 1939 movie and the Broadway musical Wicked. Most of the material will be taken from the books, "including the flying monkeys," according to the report.

The Wicked Witch of the West, who is known as Elphaba in Wicked, will be the primary villain in the second half of season 3, taking over for Peter Pan (Robbie Kay). It is unknown if the characters will be traveling to Oz and staying there for multiple episodes like they did in Neverland in the first half of season 3.

Presuming the characters will be staying in Oz for a little while, it's only a matter of time before the show announces casting for such characters as Glinda or even Dorothy.

Once Upon a Time season 3 will air its midseason premiere on Sunday, Mar. 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
