In the highly anticipated blockbuster Man of Steel 2, Superman (Henry Cavill) will be getting a slightly different look from the first film.

Man of Steel 2 costume designer Michael Wilkinson spoke with Cinemovie recently and revealed that he will be making some tweaks to Superman's costume.

"We are now in the stage where we're refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting," he said.

Wilkinson is also designing entirely new costumes for Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), a character headed to the big screen for the very first time. The new Batman costume, colloquially called the "Batsuit," will be unlike any previous Batsuit, according to filmmaker Kevin Smith.

"I saw the Batman costume," he revealed in November. "More than that, I saw a picture of [Affleck] in the costume . . . I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this...I instantly bear hugged [director Zack Snyder]. You have not seen this costume on film before. For a comic book fan, it was mind-bending."

Additionally, the Batsuit "will not have any nipples" according to Smith, as depicted in the often-ridiculed Batman & Robin.

As for Wonder Woman, her costume will likely be updated from the standard comic book version as well as the Lynda Carter's TV version of the character.
