NCIS star Pauley Perrette, who was recently attacked by some Cote de Pablo fans via Twitter, has fired back to those who tweet her angry messages.

"Why is it fun to spew meaness on @twitter? For some it's your full time job? Why? Isn't there SOMETHING else you can do?" she tweeted on Sunday. "Sorry for those beat up on @twitter They have NO idea who they're aligned with Bad adults posing as young fans It's true."

Perrette also tweeted: "LONG conversation with God as to why mean people are trying to destroy me unfairly. So I'm going to talk to Him. I'm Out."

The 44-year-old, who plays Abby Sciuto on the show, was caught up in some controversy earlier in December when she reportedly sent a direct message to an NCIS fan on Twitter to say that de Pablo didn't love her job and "left the rest of the cast to get beat up."

The fan then posted the tweet for all to see and it apparently also got Perrette in trouble with her former costar.

"She called me and hollered at me for mentioning her name on twitter. She didn't want to be on the show or talk to y'all," Perrette tweeted presumably about de Pablo. The tweet has since been deleted.

The actress initially addressed de Pablo's decision to leave NCIS as well as the negative remarks she was receiving in July.

"Cote's my friend! Love her. You guys writing mean things to ME (?) I'M SAD SHE LEFT TOO! I didn't want her to leave! SAD!" she tweeted.

De Pablo played agent Ziva David for eight seasons and her character, which debuted during season 3, had been a crucial part of the investigative team led by Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Anthony DiNozzo. She announced her decision to the leave the show in July and the 33-year-old actress returned for two episodes at the beginning of season 11 to properly end her character's role on the hit show.
