The first of many new actors has been cast for True Blood season 7.

British actor Brett Lorenzini was recently cast to play Troy, a character who has not been discussed previously by any casting calls. He is an actor from London, as discovered by TrueBlood-Online.com, though that doesn't mean he'll be playing a British character on True Blood. Plenty of British actors have been cast to play Americans on the show, including Stephen Moyer (Bill) and Rob Kazinsky (Warlow) in addition to the Australian-born Ryan Kwanten (Jason).

Lorenzini's only previous acting credit on IMDB is for a small film called A Broken Code in 2012. This indicates that his True Blood character may be a breakout role for the actor. He will be appearing in the season 7 premiere.

Very few details have been revealed about True Blood season 7, which also serves as the final season of the show. After the season 6 finale, showrunner Brian Buckner revealed that the final season will focus more on the core cast of characters in Bon Temps rather than branching off into a bunch of different story lines and locations.
