Zac Efron was seen wearing a AA sobriety chip that implies he is six months sober.

The High School Musical star was at a Laker's basketball game in Los Angeles on Dec. 20, 2013 where he was wearing a blue chip around his neck, displaying that he's been clean for six months. Efron checked into rehab last April for alleged cocaine and alcohol abuse where the news about his progress remained quiet until now.

Rumor has it that the actor was battling some sort of addiction although it's unclear on what those exact issues were. Friends of his mentioned that he had "erratic" behavior during the filming of Neighbors, and it wasn't too long afterwards when the actor checked into rehab.

If battling health wasn't tough enough, the actor also experienced a terrible fall outside his home, which left him with a broken jaw. He then had to get his jaws wired shut. Efron had reportedly claimed that he slipped in a puddle, but his fellow actors say otherwise; Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan released a video last week, saying that the real reason for Efron's broken jaw was from giving a girl the "worst sexual experience of her life." But since Efron was in the video with them, there is a good chance that it was a joke.

After what appears to be a difficult year, the star has something to be proud of. He's staying clean and his career is moving forward with That Awkward Moment coming to theaters this Jan. 31, 2014 as well as Neighbors coming to theaters this May 14, 2014..
