New Year's Eve in Times Square is one of the biggest events of the year and it's expected to bring more than a million visitors to New York City as well as some noteworthy celebrities.

Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Blondie, Rodney Atkins, Icona Pop, Jencarlos Canela and El Dasa will all help bring in the new year.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will also be hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy, who both seem very excited to work together. McCarthy posted photos with her fellow host on Twitter and wrote, "I've always got time to snap a selfie with @RyanSeacrest."

He returned the love and told Good Morning America, "She's my bad influence, so I love having her around!"

The two also spoke to Billboard about the upcoming event and Seacrest explained what makes it such a big deal.

"In a world where people are on different pages all the time, this is the one moment where you feel like everybody's on the same page," he said.

To that, McCarthy added: "Unless you're at home living with cats."

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will also lead the final 60-second countdown. The Bronx native will push the button to signal the dropping of the New Year's Eve ball. The 11,875 pound ball is lit from within with more than 32,000 lights.

She "is an inspiration to everyone determined to achieve their dreams in 2014," Jeffrey Straus, president of Countdown Entertainment, said.

For those who can't make it to Times Square, there's a live stream that will show all the musical acts and the action. It will start at 5:55 p.m. EST.
