Game of Thrones fans waiting for some more screen time for The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) will get their wish in season 4.

Björnsson posted a photo on Instagram Thursday dressed as The Mountain with the caption "Game of thrones season 4 #dubrovnik #got #mountain #croatia #sword #big #lovethis."

Björnsson is taking over for actors Conan Stevens and Ian Whyte, who portrayed Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane in season 1 and 2, respectively. This is Björnsson's acting debut.

The Mountain plays a relatively significant part in the second half of A Storm of Swords, the third novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, which the producers of Game of Thrones are adapting for season 4.

MAJOR BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD:

The Mountain squares off in an important battle at the end of A Storm of Swords. After Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is accused of poisoning King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), he is sentenced to trial by combat, at which point new character The Red Viper (guest star Pedro Pascal) elects to represent him in battle.

The Red Viper must fight The Mountain in a battle to the death. The Red Viper has the upper hand through most of the battle and stabs The Mountain with a spear. However, The Mountain strikes back and manages to kill The Red Viper. It is then discovered that The Red Viper has coated his spear with poison, making The Mountain die a slow death.

Game of Thrones season 4 premieres in spring 2014 on HBO, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific premiere date yet.
