Robert Pattinson didn't ring in 2014 with Kristen Stewart, but the actor did meet up with another Twilight costar while in New York City on New Year's Eve.

Following his stay in Britain for much of December and the holiday season, Pattinson headed to Brooklyn on Tuesday to catch up with a few pals at a restaurant named Juliette, according to Hollywood Life. Among the dinners was 19-year-old Dakota Fanning.

A Twilight alum and good friend of Kristen Stewart, Fanning didn't seem to have any romantic exchanges with Pattinson, according to witnesses. Instead, the lunch appeared to merely be a regular outing.

"[Pattinson] was sitting next to a girl," a source told Hollywood Life. "They acted just like friends... [They] came in as a walk-in. Rob waited at the bar with some of his friends [and waited] a half hour for their table. No one in the restaurant really paid any attention to [Rob]... They were all laughing and had a great time!"

Meanwhile, Stewart was recently spotted spending some time with her new puppy in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles. There were rampant rumors that the duo were planning a New Year's Eve reunion on the Isle of Wight, but the speculation turned out to be just that.
